Egg Mask

Hello All,

Yes I have yet again discovered something fascinating enough for me to update my blog!
It all started with me complaining to my co worker how my skin is so sensitive and irritated lately. It's all blotchy from the winter weather, and my continuous battles with eczema.  Anyways, she suggested me to try an egg mask, which is suppose to be good for sensitive skin. So I tired it tonight. The directions are very simple. Take an egg, crack it, separate the egg yoke from the white in two bowls. Beat them both until they bubble. Take your fingers or a brush and apple the eye white onto your face for 15-30 min. It will quickly dry up and tighten around your face. After 15-30 min wash it off with warm water and pat your face dry. Step two is to take the yoke and follow the same process.
The drying of the egg process really firms and tightens the skin, but you can wash it off quickly with water and your face feels pretty nice and soft after. It kind of glows. I do believe it's stopped most of the irritation I was facing this morning on my face. So please do give it a try!
It's a pretty inexpensive mask that you probably already have sitting in your fridge ;)

NEON LIGHTS

I know I haven't updated in forever, but had to this week... why? Because I have found something wonderful that I'm fascinated and obsessed with at the moment. It all started when I caught my co worker donning Neon Pink toes. Every time I stared at them I thoughtthey were just so bright and beautiful. She told me that they were by the brand Essie, so I thought okay I'll pick up when I have the time. That was probably a month or so ago, and every time I walked past a hair salon or a drug store I would look for the neon Essie nail polish; I would never come across it. I even detoured out of my way to stop by a London Drugs, because my co worker told me Loreal carried a neon colour just like it. But when we went to London Drugs it was not there =(
So last week I was walking down town with my friend and I passed by Sheffion and there it was: freaking bright neon pink Essie nail polish. However I was with my friend who is a boy and kno
ws nothing about girl-obsessions, so I decided not to scare him. Since I knew Sheffion carried this neon pink I would go pick it up at the Oakridge location... so on Sunday I went to Oak
ridge, and they only carried OPI! NO NEON PINK ESSIE! ... so even more determined now I went to Richmond Centre, and to make a long story short I never found my Neon Essie nail polish, BUT I did find a cheaper version at the Face Shop. I picked up a neon pink and Coral/Orange. I am now donning the brightest nails in town hahahha. I LOVE IT!
... i'm not sure why, but when I uploaded these photos they lost the neon shade... don't worry though, come visit me in life and you'll see the fabulous neon ;)

Thus the moral of this story is... if you try hard enough even if you don't find it you will find something BETTER! In my case it was better because I got two NEON nail polishes for the price of one Essie nail polish! Faboosh!

and for your viewing pleasure extra photos of my two best nail friends casually mingling with my jewellery and hanging out on my laptop with their more expensive essie friends ;P

Useless Happy Nothings!

Hello Hello! I have been too busy (ie lazy) to blog latley... actually I started one on the Sony Smile camera... but it got too complicated to post the pictures so I ended up deleting it. I don't actually think the camera is called the smile camera, there it's call the "SONYsdfh23jwherkjh" or something like that. Anyways the cool thing, and also weird thing about it, is there is a mode that can be set on it where the camera will only take the picture if everyone is smiling. I think it has to do with seeing the teeth. Technology is nuts I tell you. I think they should come up with a function where it can tell that everyones eyes are open next ;P
Ok I just looked it up it's actually called the SONY DSC W/120L and retailing for $399.99 at Sony.com
I actually own a Cannon, and I love it! Too bad back when I got my camera it didn't come in pink! Nor does it have a smile function. However it does take beautiful pictures =) And I try to use it whenever I can... which is usually at a birthday... or an event, where most people find me highly annoying... but hey I get some really good candid shots! Well most of the time... hehe.

So I am blogging today because I have a dilemma... which is not really one, because I've basically decided what I'm going to do with it. Anyways, if you're still reading this I'll share a bit of it with you.
So I really want to buy something which I don't need... but I've wanted for soooo long! And it I know that it's a ridiculous amount of money, but I also know that I will cherish it for life!!! I know I'm being very dramatic. Anyways, last week I decided that I was going to make the plunge and just get it, because there was going to be a price increase on it at the end of this month... and I know the longer I wait the more expensive it'll get. However it is not in stock right now, but is coming in stock tomorrow... and here's the thing, other people decided they wanted this "thing" too, so now I'm put in a stupid lottery for it... and I might not even get it before the price increase geeze. So I'm highly annoyed, and I want it even more now! I think I'm one of those people when I want something I obsess about it and I have to have it. Either that or I give it time and I forget about it and never get it.
Is it not weird how "things" can dominate peoples lives? hahahha... sometimes I want to be this person who is totally normal and doesn't waste money on materialistic nothings... than I realize that I am that person who wants to waste money on materialistic things that makes me happy! BUT ONLY SOMETIMES!!! I TRY to be very good the rest of the time! hahahha... anyways either way I'll live- if I buy it or not... I will just have more money in my bank account if I don't. =)

Anyways I'm going to go to bed now! One more day of waking up at 6 and I'm done for the week! WOO HOO! Weekend here I come!

And for your viewing pleasure a picture of ruby

Blog.

Welcome to my very first BLOG! I've always wanted one of these but I wasn't really sure where to start out... so today I thought to myself... I'M GOING TO BLOG! And here I am =)

I figured I'm on the internet snooping around enough I might as well have a spot of my own, and long and behold here it is. I am excited.

I don't really have a focus for my blog right now. So I'm just going to base it on my interests, which is all materialistic goods. =) I should name this blog Vanity Insanity! ... Well lets
home I update enough to live up to that name. So that is probably going to be my focus, and of course a bit of my life...

At this moment though my main vanity focus is shoes... I have not been fortunate enough to be blessed with good feet. I have fat wide feet =( So earlier in my life I was never interested in shoes... but as of late I have fully embraced my passion for them =) At this moment I am on a search for Oxford styled shoes, or booties with buckles on them.

And of course for your viewing please here are a few I have
found:

This Bootie is by FLY LONDON, my favorite so far. I like the buckle detail and the patent material. I can just picture myself wearing it with stocking and skirts =)
It's selling at www.gravitypope.com for $295 and comes in other others and materials
I also found it at endless.com for $159.95 usd. It's a shame they don't ship to Canada though =(

This bootie is by FRYE, again I think it would be very cute with stocking, tights skirts, skinnies etc. This one costs $288 usd and I found it on the shopbop website. Gravitypope doesn't have it in their FRYE section, so I'm not sure how much cnd it would be... around $100 more I'm assuming???

This bootie is from a brand I've never heard of, but I'm assuming it's well known, because they're going for a whopping $994.95 usd. It's by Giuseppe Zanotti. I like it! Too bad I would never be able to justify stepping on something that cost $1000 after taxes!

And lastly this cute red bootie. It's by Cynthia Vincent and is going for $360.95 usd. I like how it slopes down, will probably make the leg look nice and elongated!

Too bad I cannot afford any shoes at the moment! Or any of the ones I want... SIGH* Oh well, they're pretty to stare at!

Oh, and the girl at the top of my blog, I don't know who she is, but I love her Striped cardigan and her bowed yellow top. SO CUTE! =)

XOXO.
